Brokenness

We keep running after this world until it crushes us. We keep deluding ourselves that it’s something in this fleeting dunya (world) that would satisfy our inner void and emptiness. It’s only when we get knocked down heavily that we realize that we were chasing the wrong goal. In that realization of utter brokenness, we are pushed to turn to Allah SWT.

Ya Allah, we are broken. You are the True Lover, the Mender, the Source of all Light. Help us witness your Light and Love in the midst of this brokenness. Help us recognize your Perfection through the cracks and pieces we see in our own souls. Help us in realizing the temporary nature of this world, and how everything will perish except Your Being. Help us in seeking Your Pleasure after internalizing that realization.

May Allah SWT Give us the taufeeq (ability) to make His Pleasure our only goal. Ameen.
