Absolute Loneliness

We came into this world alone and we will leave this world alone. However, we do need supportive and sincere relationships in this world, as it’s a need that Allah SWT has Put inside us. Allah SWT has Expanded this rizq (provision) for some of us and Constricted it for some of us, out of His infinite Wisdom.

We are also asked to strive towards emulating the sunnahs of empathy, compassion, and love for creation for the sake of Allah SWT. However, one unescapable reality of this life is the absolute loneliness each one of us feels at one or more points in our lives. And it is in those moments that we realize that it was only about the individual and Allah SWT anyway. At the end of the day, it’s only about me and my Lord.

My dear believing sisters – I know that the pain of this world tires you. Complicated relationships tire you. Your responsibilities and the never-ending to-do list tires you. Those who are under your care tire you. You sometimes feel so stuck in life that it’s almost emotionally paralyzing. In those moments, remember that Allah SWT does not forget the number of tears that fall from your eyes, the unspoken grievances and burdens that you carry in your heart, and the failed attempts at healing and letting go that you make over and over again. Move forward in life, one step at a time, and remember, that the One Who is the Closest to you, and also the most Loving towards you, will Give you more than you have ever imagined. It will all make sense one day.

لَهُمۡ مَّا يَشَآءُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا وَلَدَيۡنَا مَزِيۡدٌ

Therein they shall get whatever they desire; and with Us there is even more. (50:35)
