Does He not Know who Created?

We often seek validation for our problems from people and get hurt when we get dismissed instead. While empathy is a beautiful prophetic sunnah, the only One who truly understands all our struggles is Allah SWT.

I was driving back home after meeting a friend. She had been blessed with something that I had been craving for since years. I had moved past the phase when I did not want to hear the news of someone else receiving the blessing. I had tried to do some inner healing work and had begun to truly feel happy for others being blessed. However, it did not mean that I did not feel the weight of the hardship. I found myself experiencing a multitude of emotions that I myself could not fully comprehend. I was fully content with Allah’s Plans, and was certain that the situation I found myself in was not co-incidental. It was the result of the Planning of the Al-Hakeem (All-Wise) and Al-Wadud (All-Loving). I still felt extreme pain, as if my heart were being crushed under it. I tried to convert my feelings into dua but no coherent words came out.

I was listening to the recitation of Surah Mulk, and my focus shifted to the words of Allah: “And whether you conceal your word or manifest it, surely, He is the Knower of what is in the hearts. Does He not Know who created? And He is the Knower of subtilities, the Aware.”

My heart cried out in joy knowing that there’s Someone who understands my pain without me even having to explain it. Allah SWT Knows what is in my heart more than I do. He Knows me inside out because He Created me. If a mother can tell when her child is upset, without the child saying anything, then how well would the Lord of the Worlds, and my Lord, Know what I am feeling?

My dear sister who sees everyone sailing through their lives while she feels absolutely stuck in her situation, Allah Knows and Acknowledges your feelings.

My dear sister who wishes she would have died and been forgotten before experiencing the trauma she faced, Allah Knows and Acknowledges your feelings.

My dear sister who does not have a single person in her life to validate her pain, Allah Knows and Acknowledges your feelings.

My dear sister who herself does not know why her heart is not at rest, Allah Knows and Acknowledges your feelings.

My dear sister who is regretting being vulnerable in front of people who fail to understand and empathize, Allah Knows and Acknowledges your feelings.

My dear sister who cries herself to sleep every night after showing a brave smiling face to the world, Allah Knows and Acknowledges your feelings.

My dear sister who is in denial of her own feelings, and has a huge store of frustration, resentment, and sorrow inside her, unacknowledged by her own self, Allah Knows and Acknowledges your feelings.

Does He not Know who created? And He is Al-Lateef, Al-Khabeer.
